We invite you and your family to join us, members of our Vanguard Board, and other National Scouting leaders for the 2022 Vanguard Vision Conference for Latter-day Saint Scout Leaders and Families on July 2-9, 2022, at Philmont Training Center near Cimarron, New Mexico, in the shadow of the Sangre de Christo mountains. In July 2022, we celebrate 59 years of continuous training for Latter-day Saint Scout leaders and their families at Philmont Scout Ranch.
This year we have planned a very special Vanguard Vision Conference that will include training and breakout sessions for (1) Council and District Scouting leaders in heavily Latter-day Saint populated areas, (2) unit leaders of Latter-day Saint Scouts, and (3) Troop and Pack Committees.
Come and join us as we provide training in best practices for recruiting, enrolling, and strengthening Latter-day Saint young men and young women through Scouting, including special training in the new religious awards for Latter-day Saint Scouts and Scouters. Those joining us for the 2022 Vanguard Vision Conference will be able to complete their religious award requirements at Philmont and participate in a unique historic Court of Honor to receive their award with others attending the Conference. We will also be announcing a special name change for this award at the Vanguard Vision Conference – and those at the Conference will be the first to receive this new award.
In addition, the Vanguard Vision Conference curriculum includes special activities to help you feel and enjoy the marvelous Scouting spirit of Philmont Scout Ranch including horseback riding, activities on the climbing wall and shooting ranges, a traditional devotional at Rocky Mountain Scout Camp, and many, many more activities for you and your family.
